increasing thresholds

so the price of gas keeps on rising. rising and rising. what's amazing is the increasing threshold of the general public. people line up like mad when its 108.9 now but 6 months ago, this price would have been ludicrous.

so i liken this increasing threshold to another retail experience. clothes and accessory shopping...sigh. it seems that the more i shop, the more i allow myself to spend.
