def'n: the adoration of avocados

i have been obssessed with avocados since my time away in TO. and now i try to include avocados in my diet at least twice a week. either in sushi, sandwiches, salads, guacamole, or just eaten alone lightly seasoned with salt & pepper.

the only annoying thing is that i can never seem to buy ripe avocados. so i have to endure the torture of watching them in my kitchen and impatiently awaiting their ripeness.

tricks of the trade - banana in the avocado basket hastens the ripening of the fruit. my problem is that i never have bananas at home.

so now i'm crunching into the avocado.
