depanneur = danger & dishonnesty

just got home from one of my periodic evening site tours - and all i can say is that working in a dep at night is nuts.

"if you want to find out if there are thieves in your neighbourhood, just open a dep" - i quote one of my former retailers from when i was a rep.

It seems that the lower down the retail chain, the more dangerous and random crimes become. It also always seems to attack those who are the most vulnerable.

Who works the night shift? most are new to the country and taking whatever jobs they can get to make an honnest wage. It means they have to put up with the hold-ups, the drive-offs, the drunks and druggies who come to the dep to cause trouble.

pisses me off.
