A Wrinkle in Time.
well actually...on my face! I saw a real wrinkle or "laugh line" last week and I have been obsessed with it. I briefly considered a bunch of crazy treatments like dermabrasion but decided that what I really needed was a day-off for myself.
Since Christmas, I have been running around super busy. Some friends suggest that my exhaustion could be related to the fact that I am not young anymore but I remind them that at 21 I did not hop on planes or drive hundreds of miles for work emergencies, then rush home to sift through thousands of emails, go out for dinner with work a few nights of the week and then work on presentations which could decide my whole career until the wee hours of the morning!
Bref - I have been stressed and it is showing on my face!
Today I have a morning of nothing planned with an afternoon of spa treatments to follow (not dermabrasion!) I would like to say that it is marvelous having time-off...but honestly, after 40 minutes awake, I already attacked the accumulation of dishes and I do not know what to do with myself anymore. I am tempted to get on my lap top to work some more!
It reminds me that I have a long way to go before I can rest in the Lord. A few weeks ago, I heard a great sermon that I struggle to put into action. The first step is to recognize that I need to rest not only physically but mentally so that I can hear what God has to say to me in my life. I am working on it...
By the way - I am totally addicted to Cashmere Mafia and Lipstick Jungle. They are NO WAY replacements for the original SATC but it is interesting to see what hollywood has to say about women who are ultra successful.
