thirty
it's a big birthday for me. i feel really happy to turn 30 with all the love from my friends and family. a lot of people ask me if i am "scared" of turning 30. my response is "no!". I whole-heartedly embrace it simply because i am proud of what i have accomplished in the time that i have been given on this earth.
but more importantly, i want to dedicate this post to my dearest and best friend. AP. in recent years, i felt us drifting apart because of life situations. i am a married Christian woman with a busy career. she has left her career to go back to school and is still very fabulous and very non-religious single. it seems that with each visit, each phone call - we have less and less in common.
We have rarely spent a birthday apart since Grade 2 and this year is no exception. Even with her visit this coming Friday, we spent last night talking and talking on the phone. And our conversation made me realize why I still cherish every bit of our friendship. We have a deep understanding of each other that surpasses superficial common ground.
i don't have many friends, but God certainly did bless me by helping me to find a few select special good people and especially one fabulous diva who will grow old with me - wearing leopard.
