hot times in the city.

another mad rush - this time to the gym. and i realize that as i'm pounding the pavement with my runners, high ponytail swinging, they have arrived.

tourists.

they are everywhere - invading my space, my street, my city.

rude horny torontonians bumping and grinding air trying to attract the montrealers with their lack of charm, lack of style, lack of grace, and lack of manners.

rich americans buying up all the haute couture - complaining that they can't understand french.

the most comical are the tourists who try to maintain speed limit and respect the driving laws.

i guess the main point is that i myself am an outsider. previously, i would have completely disregarded the tourists as background noise. the fact that i notice them means that i've somewhat lost the local mentality.

could it be that i'm not as montreal as i think i am??
