mourning my single self.

being in a steady relationship is really great. i would never refute this. but it doesn't come naturally to me. looking back 12 months ago i was a raging single -moving cities - partying - travelling. my life had a certain charming unpredictable quality. in short, i was single and fabulous.

this year i am becoming more predictable than i thought i could ever be. more to do with the fact that i am currently married to my job. i guess there is beauty to each stage of life. enjoy the moments cause we can't turn back the clock.

My mother flew in from shanghai this past Sunday.

I just came home from a full day of work and i smell soup cooking on the stove.

She is absolutely the best lady in the world.

bad weather = bad mood

ARGH. it seems that nice weather is reserved for work days when i'm too busy to enjoy the sunshine. every weekend for the past month has been COLD AND RAINY!!!

absolutely terrible

i mean what do you do in crappy weather? it just depresses me.

the city is depressed. rain just sucks the life out of the city. no terrasses. no fun walks in the afternoon. gotta shuffle around under an umbrella wearing winter sweaters you wish you could burn.

argh.

...aholic

i am a shopaholic turned workaholic.

this is not good. currently i live for one thing - work.

i don't know why i am so passionate about it. i've never been very crazy about any particular thing that required brain-power.

i can't even plan a vacation because i want to work. WTF. i am such a vacation-junkie!

well i am taking steps to relax and do other things besides work. cause working this much is NOT hot.

Mr. or Mrs. Au

X: May I please speak with Mr. or Mrs. Au?

Me: (head voice: what the hell? they're in china!) ummm...why?

X: Well I am calling from Primus and I would like to speak to your parents

Me: huh?

X: I WOULD LIKE TO SPEAK TO THE OWNER OF THIS HOUSE TO GIVE THEM INFORMATION ABOUT OUR SERVICES!

Me: but I am the owner...

~ obviously I am still a kid in some people's eyes ~

SWARM IN

that's what my sister calls it - she said "you're experiencing a SWARM IN and NOT a swoop in"

speaking with ex's is always a little weird. when you haven't spoken in ages and all of a sudden they want to contact you. since April, its been nuts - just as I settle with P the X factors keep intruding in on my merry life.

It isn't that I don't appreciate their interest in my life - it's just that i find it to be uncomfortable.

How is it that you can be so close with someone for a period of time and then nothing - it's ludicrous that you can know absolutely nothing about someone that you once knew everything about.

cycle of life.

bah - was feeling a little lazy just now so I went to read some blogs. found out that one god brother just graduated university. SAY WHAT!?!?!?!!!

yea chanimal is done university. can't believe it. i mean it feels like i graduated last year.

its funny because we used to imagine how we'd be in the future as grown-ups. and now i am a grown-up.

i used to always dread growing up. fearing that my carefree days would be gone forever. but i can't say that "growing up" is unpleasant.

maybe i just like being older. it certainly has its benefits.

well congrats to all the people who graduated university this year - merde for the working world/grad school.
