The Ugly Sleep!
I am truly mortified by my ugly sleep. It is the sleep that makes observers coil back in horror. I am on the very last leg of a long weekend plane ride. Flew into Seattle on Friday and am flying back today.

My style is the head bent over, chin tucked in, neck free-flopping kind. Once the eye-lids are heavy and my chin is tucked in, there is very little I can do to preserve my dignity. I know that within minutes my head is going to be flipping and flopping all around. And...gasp...even the occasional drool when I am suffering from exhaustion. Sigh!

In fact, to protect my career - I have avoided all flights that fly into Toronto before 8AM since I know those are frequented by company execs. My own family can scarcely keep from ROFL, I don't want to chance it and have senior execs judge me too!

So after a weekend of antics and little sleep, I wonder if this last little flight from Chicago to Montreal is going to be sleep free or shameful!

Unworthy of your readership!

Just stop reading my blog. Just stop being my friend. In fact, if you see me on the street, ignore me completely. Cause I AM A MOTHER-F LOSER!!! -for being overly happy that I am in Seattle which is close to Forks, Washington. The location of Twilight! I just wanted to scream WAREWOLF!!! JACOB!! in the taxi.

I have morphed into a 14 year-old over-imaginative loser. Shame.

P.S. Ms J.Au - I am half way done Breaking Dawn.

I hate twilight.

...and yet...I am obsessively reading the Twilight saga. Shame! How did this happen? How did a 30 year-old married woman get hooked on a teenage vampire+warewolf series??

It all started when PP and I lined up to watch a blockbuster movie (I think it might have been James Bond) and was relieved when I realized that the MONSTER line-up was actually for Twilight-the movie. Hundreds of teenagers were beeming with excitement - and I had not even heard of the movie. Was it a cartoon?

Next, the young ladies in my Youth 1 intrigued me when they were non-stop making twilight references during my class. 1 Corinthians 13 "...learning about love in the Bible made me realize that love is not exactly like the love between Bella and Edward" Who are Bella and Edward?

Not to be looked down upon by a bunch of 13 year-olds for "not being with it", I rented the movie and forced my husband, my sister and her fiance to watch this teeny-bopper movie. And then as the Summer started rolling into gear and I needed reading material as diversion on a long plane ride, I caved and purchased the 4 book saga.

Now, less than a week later - I have gobbled up 3 books out of 4.

The writing is sub-par, the protagonist irritates the hell out of me, the plot is sensationalistic and most of the time foolish...sigh

1) girl is mad-falling in love with a vampire. PUHlease!!
2) vampire carries around girl like a rag doll and controls her freedom for "safety's sake".
3) some vampires are "good". what part of blood-sucker is good? please explain?
4) girl constantly belittles herself and venerates her boyfriend/vampire. no thank you.
5) girl might give up college to become a vampire. idiot.
6) girl has perfectly hot warewolf guy after her and does not go for him. HELLO???
To quote my sister, it is as if the author, was a complete loser in high school and is vicariously re-living those years via these characters.

I hate it and at the same time I like it! URGH.

To regain some self-respect, I need to go on Amazon and purchase some Wharton, Bronte, Sartre...ASAP!

Chinese Family Dinner Part 2
Had a big Chinese family dinner tonight. It's really something when parents still treat their 30 year-old offspring like children. Ummm hello??? We are independent adults? I know how to eat my lobster?? I can pay for dinner?? I don't need your permission to stop eating??? It is no wonder that I am struggling and finding these things more and more arduous.
