highlights were the boysss.

lowlight was being harassed about when my turn to get married would be. fack. nothing annoys me more than people expecting me to do things on their timeline. the angry-me just wants to run out and have a one-nighter with...

zillion dollar purse

..ok not exactly. but i found this purse on the web and it costs a whooping $12,880 US. crazy!

speaking of adolescent experiences...

this pm i came home from buying furniture and realized that i had to purchase some things for my cocktail party next week. i was feeling pretty good about myself because i felt like an adult. cocktail parties & real furniture.

so i figured that i would just slap on any coat and shoes and run out for my 30 second errand...

of course, i bump into this guy i haven't seen since graduating high school. the ring leader of the "Posse" was loitering around smoking while i walked by in my CRAZY hair (unruly due to the lack of time for a proper hair cut & damp rainy weather), decrepid trench coat and stupid red mary janes.

wtf, right?!?! i was a complete fashion don't this pm.

blast from the past
i was by no means a loser in high-school. but in my WASP-only school, i was not considered attractive by my fellow blonde-haired/blue-eyed classmates. as i continued on with the casual banter i learned that the former high school posse king was now a CEGEP drop-out and full-time minimum wage shop-keeper.

it was obvious that my success was making it hard for him to keep eye-contact with me. but even with this shift in power, the memory of my awkward-self made me feel inadequate again.

finally, the guy goes on to talk about our 10 year reunion coming up...and mentions that even though 10 years have gone by, everyone is still pretty much - the same.

truth: no matter how much time has gone by, there is still an awkward, tomboy, fashion failure, crazy-bad-hair side of me just waiting to surface.

teeth shift.

I decided at 27 to start wearing my retainers again. I had my braces taken off 15 years ago and had to wear retainers for a couple of years after that.

Anyways - I noticed my teeth shifting and decided to try them on again (after disinfection) the bottom ones don't fit at all anymore. The tops do.

So now I live the mornings of a teenager cause I can't even eat toast and forget about bagels for breakfast.

dude.

Work Day 2.

Work is work. Eventhough I love my job - work is work. It cannot beat vacation.

sigh.

well someone's gotta bring home the lap-cheung.

Never trust a vespa! (in Italian-diva voice)
A diva shared her philosophy on life in Napoli.

Here are some highlights:

Getting biatched out at Gucci in Rome. Yes, my sister and I went all the way to Gucci in Italy to get bitched out by a Eurosexual salesdude. (Eurosexual: my new word. it is the one step above metrosexual that Euro's can exhibit above North-american guys)

While we were busy laughing our heads off at our numerous failed attempts at self-portraits, some greasy dudes kept taking photos of us. it was harrassment au bout. not one to accept any crap, i decided to reverse_voyeur them.

The most bored kids in the Colosseum. I bet it is cause they haven't seen Gladiator yet :P

"The Vatican is cool but not as hot as my butt."

Spiritual graffiti.

Some crazy ball in the middle of the Vatican museum courtyard.

Amazing.

Us Cineses really are everywhere. Anyways, Chinese food for a Chinese stomach. Despite the most amazing food of my life, near the end of our trip I had to have some rice!

"Hideous, it was tolerable before but now with the lights...it is hideous." If you can place that quote, you are a true fan.

I heart cobblestone.
