Three day weekend.

I realized that Work is a drug. Weekends are rehab.

I crazy overtime during the week so je ne peux pas me décrocher when I really need to.

All weekend, I compulsively check emails on my black. To keep myself from going stark crazy on Sunday, i pulled out my laptop and worked until 5pm. This morning (another weirdo company holiday) I woke up and put my phone on mute determined not to work. Only to turn on my laptop to check out my weekend sales figures.

I guess the minute I have actually have a moment away from work, I don't know what to do with myself and realize that my life is a series of copy and paste.

How depressing.

On a very positive note, I retail therapied myself today and got a fabulous chocolate brown luella hobo and... a matching suit! I know, I'm a shopoholic - but it is bonus season and I killed 2005 so a little reward before the government snatches over 40% of it!

Shopping Satan.

def: the evil person who convinces others to make rash extravagant purchases.

Today I was the ultimate SS as I called my equally mad auntie E in Vancouver. She suffers from retail junkism and I tempted her with stories of my conquests.

HIGHlarious.

5 years ago i was in this shiet of a town (presently booming Tianjin) and we walked into this ghetto dvd store. Age and I saw this playing and the hilarity of it all just bowled us over. We couldn't stop laughing uncontrollably. Maybe it was cause we were young and dumb or cause he hadn't watched anything Western in over 3 months.

I can't believe I happened upon this today.

It's bloody freezing outside but sunny so great for my territory sales!

I GIVE UP!!!!!!!!!

So I stayed home to work in my home office to prepare this awesome jok for my small group. It is the one thing that I can cook decently. Well this is the result. I doubled the ingredients and focused more on my presentation due Thursday than the jok.

For the record, this is the 4th pot that I burned through and through.

F it. I'm furious cause my hair stinks of burnt too.

Anyways, I will no longer cook for friends or family. TAKE OUT FOREVER!!!!

EXERCI$E!

So i was lounging around this PM all cozy and I decided on a whim to go out for a walk. What a great idea. Get some exercise in this beautiful crisp weather.

One walk later, I came home with 2 Italian blazers and pair of Italian wool pants.

to finalize the weekend report, pp and i finally went to 514's latest hot spot. loved it. the bartender gave us free shots and the bouncers thanked us when we left. really chill and refreshing from the usual "too cool for you" kinda scene on The Main.

Rono and his lady provided delightful company. all in all rave reviews.

Just came back from 1st service at this resto. byow. 'snice :) though looking at the site more closely, I notice that you need to add at least 10$ to the listed prices but well worth it.

Too exhausted to do anything else. Rented a dvd and just lounging in my PJs.

(Right now PP is giggling to French "just for laughs" - what a dork!)

E l I J A H says:
you can't fault people for being ugly mel, you can only exterminate them

another truism. he was naturally referring to people's inner beauty.

Books Books Books.

It's Monday and already good things are happening to me :)

My books from Amazon.ca arrived today! It's the best feeling to receive something in the mail that are not bills.

I ordered "The Investment Zoo" and "Freakonomics". Should make for better bedtime reading than "The Time in Between".

But now, the biggest dilemma...should i finish the book I am already half done? or just start on the new ones that I am dying to read...

Yes! i was wearing leather while watching this movie - I was just missing daggers.

Kinda want to be Celine walking around in the night, chilling with Scott Speedman. Sure beats working in a gas station...

Copy & Paste

I don't know if it is the blah weather but I just feel really bored with life. borderline suicidal.

Since I got back from China, I feel that someone took the first 7 days and just copy and pasted it week after week.

Greedy yuppies

So I went shopping around the galleries in the Old Port with KB yesterday. Then we stopped over at AM's loft for an afternoon girl talk over aperatifs. That was kinda fun. I am semi-obsessed with lofts. Almost more compulsive about mls.ca as i am with expedia.ca

For now, I am still happy with my century-old converted loft. But it would be nice to have an underground garage with a walk-in...hmmm...

I also am starting to get obsessed with antiques and good furniture. I look around and am completely disatisfied with the couch and two ikea comfy chairs. My home office is also a complete mess. And I really want a cappucino maker.

As for art on my wall, i'm just waiting for Max's new tableau. did he even send it? he's asked for my address 3 times now. crazy artists!

Anyways - i'm going to sip a home-made coffee and pout/be an ungrateful child of God.

I went to this resto in Greenfield Park yesterday (near work) for a business lunch. I have to say that between Kendo's in Vieux Longueuil and La Colonie in Boucherville, I have the Shore covered.

Vietnamese sushi is the best.
