I admit that I am a little people hatter.
today i was quite annoyed because all these kids were running around in Fischer Hall. they were being unruly kids. these kids also run around in the basement. they are everywhere. my rant is not against the kids but rather, against the unruliness of the situation.
because of their unruliness, at least once a week, i almost back right into one of them or accidentally bump into them as they are zipping here and there. the problem is NOT that these kids get hurt cause usually they just get up, cry - cause a comotion and then start running around again. rather, it is the shame that the general population assigns on the one who bumped into the baby.
here are the problems with kids being unruly.
1) babies run fast. it's like they go from crawling to running. in fact, they can zip around so quickly that they can zip right in front of you and cause a slight accident.
2) babies run everywhere. the little people are unpredictable, therefore, it is almost unavoidable that one crashes into them.
3) babies always find trouble. for some reason, they always find the most crowded spots and put themselves right in the middle of it. ex: this kid zipped right into the middle of a teenager's basketball game. when the basketball accidentally hit the kid's head - it was the teenager's fault.
i for one am tired of being accused of "not being careful" when i cause other people's kids to fall or i bump into them. it is a problem i cannot control - because the kids...the babies...they are the instigaters!!!
