Exils.

My Photo

I just finished watching this movie. i have like $15 in late fines for the dvd rental. i really liked it cause it exposed me to a completely different world.

People living in Limbo until they find their roots. Very interesting.

dangers of e-stalking.

so i'm presently fuming cause i went back to that dude's website and found MORE pics of me and my friend C. Also found pics of my ex. i am so ashamed to be formerly associated with that wanker. i mean his present club name is "the DAWG" - wahh!!!

the sick thing is that i don't recall ever having a conversation with this guy. who is he?!?!?! why would he have pics of me and my friend from 5 years ago on his site?!?!?

i guess the moral of the story is no party-deed goes unpunished.

anyways - i don't think i should go back to that site cause it brings back old demons. though i think C & I look really hot in our club clothes (save for one pic where i look like a complete idiot dancing.)

Chinese New Year's Rant

Work:
Basically I worked the whole weekend with the exception of the Cirque du Soleil show Sat night. The show was great - best Cirque show i've seen so far. But it was with work people...yay...at least PP got to come too.

I was irrationally impatient with one of my associates this afternoon. Le con calls me at 15h00 Sunday afternoon to tell me that he can't come to the Monday morning monthly meeting. WTF.

I was super frustrated but PP calmed me down by reminding me that this is the Queb mentality.

Anyways - working so much is terrible on my state of mind. I need some R&R. Next weekend, je vais relaxer au bout.

Stalker:
Since I work so much and I stopped shopping, one of my more recent fav past times is e-stalking. i'm such a loser (i know that). Anyways, I happened upon a pic of me and my gf's during our party days at Jet (i was young and impressionable...) on some dude's webpage. I don't even know that guy - he was a link of a link.. And obviously he didn't know me cause he labelled the pic "C, Winnie, and R"??! WINNIE?!?!! he called me winnie.

Lack of self-respect:
http://movies.msn.com/movies/sundance2006gallery?photoidx=14
just copy and paste this into the URL address part (i forgot how to make a link on this bloggy thing. so what is this woman's problem?!?!? Bai Ling was once a respectable actor but then decided to flush her rep down the drain and bounce around hollywood with bad style.

ok back to work.

Early Sunday Morning Reflections

2006 Outlook:
...looking good already. I confirmed seats to NYC for my bday weekend and seats for an Au sister vacation to Europe this coming Spring.

Realizations of 2005:
I need coffee to be a good person. Late 2005 I decided to quit coffee because I was sick of having a java-dependance. But I think I will still stay off it as long as I can. Pity the people who work with me first thing in the morning...

I need to work less to be a healthy person. Last year, I was working 15 hour days very easily and most weekends. In 2006, I will discipline myself to stop working so much. My Quebecer colleague proclaimed a very true statement: We are not missionaries, we work for an oil and gas company. Thus, excess volunteer hours to help a giant corporation squeeze more little people would be foolish. I couldn't agree more - vive la joie de vivre!!

Body image:
I am turning 27 this year. HOLY MOLY!!! 27 sounds so official and freakin old. With age, comes the increased challenge to fight the signs of ageing. I read this really sobering biography about Janice Dickinson (the world's first supermodel) and saw pictures of her when she was 17 all the way until now...Just considering looks, time is the ultimate enemy. Honestly and superficially, there is nothing graceful or beautiful about growing old. Granted, there is more to a person than just their appearance however, as a woman who is almost 27 I have to grapple with the reality that MY FACE & BODY ARE NOT GETTING ANY YOUNGER!!!

THUS, I have started limiting my alcohol unit intakes. So far, I am ashamed to say that this sole action has led to the loss of 5 lbs in 2 weeks. So either my metabolism is still fast OR I was abusing way too much...eek!

The benefits of jet-lag.

I am living the life of an old person. I barely can stay awake until 9h30pm everynight and i wake up at 4h00am to start my day.

this is slightly annoying but this morning i came to terms with it and hopped around my place quietly getting stuff done. I realised that my previous lifestyle meant staying up late just to watch TV whereas now I wake up early and read the economist of get chores done so my day is overall WAY more productive.

ok this entry sucks - bye.

The Shanghai Report

After 3 weeks of vacation, it took me 15 minutes to remember my Blackberry password and now it's 3 in the morning and I can't sleep anymore. Coming back is brutal - must remember the good times to get over Post Party Depression.
